Opening your Heart to Building a Meditation Practice

The word "meditation" in Hebrew means to speak or to mutter. When this is done in the heart it is called musing or meditation. Meditating on the Word of God day and night means to speak to yourself, saying the Word of God throughout each day and night.

It’s an intentional recognition and integration of recalling the word of God which is centered on joy, love, and sound teaching. Below are a few of my favorite verses that I recommend to start meditating on… Try these in your morning meditations & Shine on!

“Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.” - Psalm 119:97-99

“My mouth will speak words of wisdom; the meditation of my heart will give you understanding.” – Psalm 49:3

Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.” – 1 Timothy 4:13-15

It is my honor to share the word of God and teach you the biblical tools of meditation. If you would like an online meditation class or one-on-one coaching, message me: www.dmempowers.com
